THE LOOK

This product group is inspired by the lifestyle of the Inuit. The upper material has a unique look of wet sealskin. Different shades of colour and a stamp design emphasize a natural look of fur, especially because it falls in two different directions. This innovative technique brings a new and interesting style to the BIRKENSTOCK collection that is both affordable and easy to clean. This style can equally be worn with a casual and elegant outfit, making it the perfect must-have for fall/winter 2017.

THE MATERIAL

Birko-Flor is our nonleather, basic material. It is gentle on the skin, tear proof, and easy to care for. Only water is necessary for cleaning. The lining that comes into contact with the skin is made of a soft fleece for outstanding comfort. The Birko-Flor is covered with a PU sheet that is coloured using two similar colour shades and stamped with a custom-built stamp to create the natural sealskin design.

THE FOOTBED

The profile of the footbed is quite literally the base of our sandals. It follows the natural shape of the foot and gives it a natural arch: just like your footprint in wet sand. The footbed reduces the risk of foot conditions. It comes with a suede lining above, which absorbs moisture, provides a good climate all around the foot, and makes the sandal comfortable and healthy to wear
